Chinese Nationals Arrested for Trafficking  Fentanyl Into U.S.

Three Chinese nationals were charged last week in New York for importing and distributing fentanyl.  They were part of an international drug operation that was being run with other distributors, including a former county deputy Sheriff in Pennsylvania, says U.S. authorities.  Five individuals from Illinois, Ohio, Georgia, and Tennessee later overdosed and died as a result of the defendant’s distribution of the drug.

U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain said in a recent statement, “ Make no mistake, China is waging an undeclared war on our country and our American way of life, with deadly drugs serving as its weapon of choice.”  He went on to say, “ China is supplying the United States with the most potent and deadly fentanyl and other synthetic opioids on the market today.”  The defendants in the case if convicted, face a potential sentence of life in prison.

Minneapolis police officer running against Ilhan Omar, calls her ‘absentee landlord’ Says constituents are not happy

Minnesotans in Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home state are calling her an ‘absentee landlord’.  Residents are not happy and they are not satisfied with the job she has done to represent the state since she was elected in 2018.  Chris Kelley, a Minneapolis police officer has announced he will run for her seat in the next election.  While appearing on Fox & Friends he said, “ She’s traveling the world. She’s fighting the president on Twitter, she’s not doing anything in the district and I can say first hand that the homelessness, the opioid problems, and other issues aren’t improving.”

Kelley, who is an Iraq War veteran said that many Democrats say Omar won in a ‘landslide’, actually only  37% of the population voted.  He told Fox that 2020 is “ going to be a totally different animal.  You’re going to have a lot of people coming out and I think we have an excellent chance of coming out on top.”

Facebook Rejects Biden Campaign’s Request to Ban Trump Ad

Facebook has declined to ban an advertisement from President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign after the Biden campaign made a request for Facebook to have the advertisement taken down.  Fox News also rejected the request while CNN declined to air the ad.  In a letter from Facebook to Biden’s campaign it said, “ Our approach is grounded in Facebook’s fundamental belief in free expression, respect for the democratic process and the belief that in mature democracies with a free press, political speech is already arguably the most scrutinized speech there is.”

The Biden campaign responded by claiming that the ad is part of the spread of “ objectively false information to influence public opinion…and chips away at democracy.” The ad in question shows an actual clip of Biden talking about how he threatened the former President of Ukraine that he would withhold $ 1 billion in aid unless they fire the prosecutor investigating his son’s company. Biden still denies any wrongdoing in his dealings with Ukraine.

Planned Parenthood Announces $45 Million in Campaign Efforts to Unseat Trump and Flip Senate

Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the United States is planning to invest $ 45 million in efforts to unseat President Trump and flip control of the Republican-led Senate in the 2020 election.  The multi-million dollar funding will go toward ‘large scale campaigns on print, radio, television, direct email ads and by neighborhood canvassing.

According to Planned Parenthood, they will be telling Americans that there is a ‘coordinated attack’ among Republicans in state legislatures, Congress and the White House to overturn Roe V Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that denied the state’s ability to restrict abortions.  To date, 12 states have passed laws restricting abortion access this year, some are indeed aimed at provoking a Supreme Court review of Roe V Wade.
