Trump Wants to Meet ‘Whistleblower’, Warns of ‘Big Consequences’ for Source of Information
President Trump said he now wants to meet the person who filed a complaint against him, referred to as a Whistleblower. The President said in a statement on Twitter, “ Like every American, I deserve to meet my accuser, especially when this accuser, the so-called ‘Whistleblower’, represented a perfect conversation with a foreign leader in a totally inaccurate and fraudulent way.”
The President Tweeted further, “ I want to meet not only my accuser, who presented SECOND & THIRD-HAND INFORMATION but also the person who illegally gave this information, which was largely incorrect, to the Whistleblower. Was this person SPYING on the U.S. President? Big Consequences!”
The Whistleblower complaint was released last week. The Inspector-General of the intelligence community found ‘arguable political bias’ on the part of the person who filed the complaint. He found that the person who made the complaint relied on secondhand information and other information from a non-governmental organization funded by leftist billionaire, George Soros.
President Trump also called out Rep. Adam Schiff,( Democrat from California), for fabricating part of the Trump-Zelensky transcript during his opening statement at a recent committee hearing. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (Democrat from New Jersey) made this statement, “ People will say your job is to be a good Democrat or a good Republican–your responsibility and job is to be a good American. When you impeach somebody it has to be for a really strong reason.” Drew further said on Fox News, “ Why don’t we let the people do the impeachment through the electoral process…He is still going to be the candidate for the Republican Party.”
Transgender Athletes Wreak Havoc In Women’s Rugby
In Great Britain, biological males who identify as women are wreaking havoc in women’s rugby. Women’s rugby referees are quitting their jobs ever since male athletes have been included in the women’s sport. This according to a report this weekend in The Sunday Times. A referee who spoke to the paper under anonymity said, “ Being forced to prioritize hurt feelings over broken bones exposes me to personal litigation from female players who have been damaged by players who are biologically male. This is driving female players and referees out of the game. If you even ask the question, you are told you are a bigot.”
Another referee told The Times that they had witnessed five different women’s players with beards over the course of half a season. Even though this has been deemed a ‘dangerous’ trend in sports, in the U.S. Democrats have rallied behind the ‘Equality Act’, which would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make ‘gender identity’ a protected characteristic under federal anti-discrimination law.
Military Parade will be rare look at China’s arms, ambitions
In Beijing a parade said to be scheduled for Tuesday by China’s secretive military will be a rare look at it’s rapidly developing arsenal. Included will be a nuclear-capable missile with the capability to reach the United State in 30 minutes. The Dongfeng 41 is one of a new series of weapons that the Chinese media says it might also be unveiled during the parade. Others include a supersonic drone and a robot submarine.
The parade will be an expose aimed at highlighting Beijing’s ambition to enforce claims to Taiwan, the South China Sea, and other disputed territories. It is also to challenge Washington as the region’s dominant force. Tuesday’s parade will include 15,000 troops, 160 plus aircraft and 580 pieces of military equipment. Ministry of Defense spokesman, Maj. Gen. Cai Zhijun told reporters, “ Many new weapons will be shown for the first time.”
The ability to project power is becoming increasingly urgent for China’s leaders who want to control shipping lanes and waters also claimed by Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, and other countries. Siemon Wezeman of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute said, “ There are quite a lot of observers, including the U.S. military who say this is getting close to what we do, and they are starting to worry.” Wezeman also commented further that the parade will also give them more subtle signs of China’s plans.
Federal Judge Rules Catholic Adoption Agency Can Refuse LGBT Parents
In what is now deemed a victory for religious freedom, a federal judge in Michigan ruled that a Catholic adoption agency that contracts with the state will now be allowed to refuse to handle adoption requests that would place children with LGBTQ couples. The ruling came on Sept 26 in a case cited as Buck vs Gordon which involved the Lansing based St. Vincent Catholic Charities.
Judge Robert J. Jonker of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan wrote in his ruling, “This case is not about whether same-sex couples can be great parents. They can. No one in the case contests that.
To the contrary, St. Vincent has placed children for adoption with same-sex couples certified by the state. “ The Judge stated further, “ What this case is about is whether St. Vincent may continue to do this work and still profess and promote the traditional Catholic belief that marriage, as ordained by God, is for one man and one woman. In 2015 Michigan’s state legislature passed a law designed to ensure it could do just that.”
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel who was elected in November 2018 is the first openly gay person to win statewide office in Michigan. Nessel refused to defend the 2015 state law protecting the agency’s religious freedoms because in her own words she , “ could not justify using the state’s money to defend a law whose only purpose is discriminatory animus.” Nessel called supporters of the law ‘hate mongers’ who disliked gay people more than they cared about children.
Today’s quote is from Herbert Hoover,
“ Freedom is the open window through which pours the sunlight of the human spirit and human dignity.”
