1: Mall of America
The Mall of America is Minnesota’s most popular tourist attraction. With over 500 shops, two food courts, an amusement park, two attached hotels, and more; the Mall of America has something for anyone. 40 million people visit the Mall of America annually and over half a billion people have visited it since its opening in 1992. Since the mall also has a movie theater, people can come and see any movie they’ve missed or go to the arcade on Thursdays for only $10 to play all the arcade games they want (sans tickets and claw machines).
2: Lake Harriet and the Rose Garden
Two very picturesque and nature filled places happen to be Lake Harriet and the surrounding gardens. Lake Harriet has a bandstand where live concerts or even small plays are held. One can rent a boat and go canoeing or paddle boating around the lake on a sunny day. The lake is very beautiful and peaceful as pedestrians walk, jog, and bike around it for some exercise. If you get hungry or thirsty, one can always visit the concessions cafe, Bread & Pickle. They have big servings of ice cream and several hamburgers, fries, sandwiches, and other options for a nice day at the lake.
The surrounding gardens are also very beautiful and fun to walk around. The Rose Garden has many different roses and is a great place for a photo shoot.

3: Minnehaha Park
Minnehaha Park is a perfect hikers dream. With a distance of 2.1 miles, anyone can learn how to train for competitions or simply have a nice walk. The falls are also very beautiful and are a very popular tourist spot. In the summer days, one can see people taking pictures or renting bicycles for the family! Musicians can also be heard, singing and making music as one takes a nature walk. As you walk deeper into the trails, the park becomes more peaceful and quiet. Remember to be safe as you walk on the trail! If you get hungry, plenty of restaurants are nearby and there is a pavilion for a picnic lunch.
Duluth is a beautiful city north of the Twin Cities. It is a two hour drive from Minneapolis but is so worth it. Lake Superior is always a beautiful site to see and there is a walkway to the lighthouse along the shoreline of the lake. The city has a vintage vibe and definitely has a welcoming aura. You can easily shop and eat as you walk around the city. A couple of minutes away from downtown Duluth is the UMD campus, where you can stop by and visit anytime. Duluth is a very pretty place and is a highly recommended place to visit.
Valleyfair is Minnesota’s largest amusement park and has been open for more than 40 years. It has over 70 rides and a water park.
The Wild Thing is the highest roller coaster at Valleyfair at 207 feet. Valleyfair has rides and attractions for every member of the family, such as Planet Snoopy, an area dedicated for families with young children. It has a variety of kiddie rides so young children are not left out in the fun. If you ever get hungry, there are plenty of places to eat and rest. Milkshakes, fries, chicken tenders, and more amusement park food can be bought anywhere.
