Rodeos have been a favorite American pastime for over 100 years. We all remember rodeo calf roping, steer wrestling, bareback bronco riding, barrel racing and of course bull riding.
In 1992, 20 legendary bull riders got together in a hotel room in Arizona. They all shared a dream, they wanted to break away from the confines of the rodeo format and they wanted to make bull riding a stand- alone sport. They pooled their resources and each put in $ 1000.
This venture worked and today not only is bull riding a stand – alone sport, the PBR has been listed in Forbes magazine as the fastest growing sport in America.
