Senator Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, announced that he plans to subpoena a consulting firm with ties to Hunter Biden and to Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings in order to review records and determine whether the foreign firm tried to use Hunter Biden to “influence” American policy.
Lawyers for Alexis Lunden Roberts, a woman with whom Hunter Biden fathered a child out of wedlock, have filed a motion seeking to hold the former vice president’s son in contempt of court for refusing to comply with an order to provide financial documents related to a paternity and child support suit.
It’s all over but the shouting, as is said. While President Trump’s acquittal in his Senate impeachment trial was never really in doubt, it’s now just days away with a decision to not allow witnesses.
