Private-eye Firm: Hunter Biden Is Subject of Several Criminal Probes
Written by Luis Miguel
Court documents filed Monday in Hunter Biden’s Arkansas paternity case claim the former vice president’s son is the subject of multiple criminal investigations related to “fraud, money laundering and a counterfeiting scheme.”
The claims were put forward by D&A Investigations, a Florida-based private-eye firm, as part of Hunter Biden’s case involving Lunden Alexis Roberts, the alleged mother of his child who is suing him for child support.
Per court papers, a judge quickly struck down the claims of criminal investigations because they had been filed by an “intervener.”
Biden filed a motion to have the claims stricken down, saying
“the notice is filed by a non-party simply to make scandalous allegations in the pending suit to gain some media attention.”
The 49-year-old Biden “is the subject of more than one criminal investigation involving fraud, money laundering and a counterfeiting scheme,” the filing claims.
One of the alleged investigations centers around Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian natural gas company at which Biden served as a board member making $50,000-$83,000 a month.
President Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into Hunter Biden’s involvement with Burisma, as Joe Biden, while vice president, pressured the Ukrainian government into firing the top prosecutor who was investigating the company for corruption. That request ultimately led to the president’s impeachment last week.
D&A claims that Biden and his business associates “established bank and financial accounts with Morgan Stanley … for Burisma Holdings Limited … for the money laundering scheme.” The private-eye firm claimed that the accounts showed an average value of nearly $6.8 million from March 2014 to December 2015.
Per the papers filed by D&A at the Circuit Court of Independence County, Arkansas, Biden, Devon Archer, John Galanis, Bevan Cooney, and others allegedly “utilized a counterfeiting scheme to conceal the Morgan Stanley et al Average Account Value.”
The filing says that Biden was involved in a $60 million scam that ripped off impoverished Sioux Indians and others.
Galanis, a repeat-offending fraudster dubbed “Porn’s New King” by Forbes for his purchase of pornographic payment processor Intercept, along with Cooney and Archer, were all found guilty in 2018 for their roles in the plot — though Archer’s conviction was overturned by a Manhattan federal judge in November.
Biden “did drum up business for the scheme,” alleged D&A, without providing additional details.
The three-page document submitted by the private-eye firm does not say which agencies are behind the purported criminal probes in either the Burisma or the fraud cases.
D&A investigator Dominic Casey, who filed the papers, refused to say whether his firm sent the documents of its own volition or whether they had been retained by Roberts.
Asked to elaborate on the claims, he simply said, “I believe this is self-explanatory.”
Hunter Biden’s paternity of Roberts’ child has been confirmed by a DNA test. Roberts filed a petition in May asking for Biden to pay paternity and child support and health insurance for the infant, who was born in August 2018 and is identified only as “Baby Doe.”
Roberts is an Arkansas State University graduate who was studying crime scene investigation and working with the FBI in Washington, D.C. when she met Biden during her stint as a stripper.
Biden fathered the child while he was still dating Hallie Biden, the widow of his older brother Beau, an officer in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and Attorney General of Delaware who died of a brain tumor. The younger Biden is now married to South African native Melissa Cohen.
His ex-wife, Kathleen, accused him in her divorce filing of
“spending extravagantly on his own interests (including drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, strip clubs and gifts for women with whom he has sexual relations), while leaving the family with no funds to pay legitimate bills.”
After receiving an age waiver to join the Navy in 2013, Biden was kicked out with just a month of service under his belt due to cocaine use. In 2015, a hack of the adultery website Ashley Madison revealed him as a user.
Ukrainian parliamentarian Andrey Derkach has claimed to possess documents that show Joe Biden himself was personally paid $900,000 by Burisma for lobbying activities, and that the funds were funneled through the private equity firm Rosemont Seneca Partners, co-founded by Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz, the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry.
Derkach announced earlier this month that he met with President Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who has been looking into the Biden-Burisma affair.
