China Expert on UN Religious Freedom Event and CCP’s 1949 Takeover

On Monday, President Donald Trump led the United Nations event on religious freedom. He urged UN member nations to stop religious persecution. Vice President Mike Pence singled out several countries, including China, where religious persecution is most severe. Today we hear from China expert Sean Lin on the significance of this event.

And when talking about religious persecution in China, you have to talk about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as well. The CCP took over mainland China on October 1, 1949. Next week marks the 70th anniversary. So in the second part of today’s show, we’ll discuss the hidden history behind the CCP’s takeover.
