
Dolly Parton was born on January 19, 1946, in Sevier County, Tennessee.

She started her music career early and gained national fame in 1967 on “The Porter Wagoner Show.”

Her solo career skyrocketed with the hits “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You.”

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, she produced numerous chart-toppers like “9 to 5” and acted in films such as “Steel Magnolias.”

In 1986, she opened Dollywood, a popular theme park.

Parton is also a philanthropist known for her Imagination Library, which provides free books to children.

She has received multiple awards, including nine Grammys, and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999.

Parton continues to create music and engage in humanitarian efforts.
